  • 1.  Norton Anti-Virus v7.6 Definition Support Removed?

    Is anyone else experiencing problems updating the definition files in Norton Antivirus v7.6?  I don't mean just the deal where no date appears for the new definition files.  It looks like updates aren't able to be downloaded at all anymore by my definition distribution center.  Well, the updates are downloaded, but they don't match the correct checksum when they are extracted.

    Those defs are long time gone. The regular definitions don't support 7.6 anymore.

    You would need to update to a supported version of SAV to start getting definitions :-(

    Move to SAV 9 if you still have NT machines (that is the only reason you may have to use such an old product) otherwise I would strongly recommend you to go to SAV 10 or SEP 11
