I know it is EOL, but we've been downloading the definitions from the definitions download page. Today, I noticed it isn't listed anymore. I suppose in the last two weeks it has been totally dropped?

I'm needing info to pass along to management.

    Thanks.

Thanks, but these are stand-alone computers with no access to network/internet (I forgot to mention that).

How were you updating the clients previously? You are using here the Symantec Antivirus or Norton Antivirus?

Norton Antivirus 10.2 Corporate Edition, as standalone clients with no connection whatsoever to each other or the network/internet.

We would download the virus definitions from the Symantec site. This is the link we were using...http://www.symantec.com/security_response/definitions/download/detail.jsp?gid=n95. We'd get the 201xxxxx-005-i32.exe file. Then burn it to a CD and run the exe on those computers to update.

    201xxxxx-005-i32.exe file are intelligent updaters.

whenever there is a new virus, symantec would immediately create a defs and these defs would be applied as intelligent updaters. for normal update you can use the link posted by Sebastin. they would still work and its all the same.

If you still need it ,here it is

    ftp://ftp.symantec.com/public/english_us_canada/antivirus_definitions/symantec_antivirus_corp

    Symantec antivirus corporate 10.2

    Does this apply?

"Security Response expects to sunset the x86.exe file as of March 5th.

The x86 file was originally developed to allow customers to update 16bit, 32bit and Netware platforms.

    • The 16 bit support reached sunset several years ago.
    • The Netware support reached sunset in the end of November 2012
    •  After November 2012, the only supported platform the x86 is designed to update is the 32bit OS.
    • Any 32 bit system can be updated using the Sarci32."

Thanks, I didn't think of going upstream on the link. Too much on my mind lol. I did that and it worked. I will keep that link handy.
