norton error your email message was unable to be sent

Have a customer getting "your email message was unable to be sent because the connection to your mail server was interrupted". We are having no issues with the server and it is only occurring on one out of about 10 staff pc's at our local library who go through our server. No one else is calling with this issue.

Go to add/remove  programs, select Symantec endpoint  protection, and modify the insallation to remove the antivirus email tools.
