Norton Ghost 12.0 causes USB conflicts post ghosting operation

Hello,
We have licenses for Ghost 12.0 within our company. Just the other day, I created a recovery point on a removable USB
drive connected to a laptop. The recovery point was restored to another identical laptop a day or so later.
After this Ghost was made, some of the USB functionality was no longer present. One of the image capture devices did
not function as expected. No other software changes were made to this system.
Did Ghost make any changes to the system which would have compromised the USB devices?
