hello all, I am using Norton Power Eraser v1.3.0.9 tool. When I run this tool he goes to Symantec site and searching new version, but after done its show error as a need an internet connecting for run scans. But my internet connection working properly and fine. Why this happens again and again I don't know. I had also check with remove proxy but still showing same error. find the attcah for same.

You can download the latest virus definitions from a working machine on to a cd or a usb drive and then use those definitions when you use the Power Eraser tool. Its possible that the internet connection is not getting through due to some malicious activity.

You can try running the SERT tool and scan the infected machine.
