Endpoint Protection

Not able to install SEP on a vista 64 bit , with Intel I 7 processor.

No errors/return value in the SEP_Inst.log. No error in the event viewer. When Clicked on the setup.exe, It sits on the same screen for long time and then comes up with “ Time Out error”
Installation being done locally with Admin account.UAC is not disabled. I have adviced the Customer to disable UAC and then install. Waiting for an update from him.
Any other input ??

Create non single exe package and try to install using MSI ...also look in event viewer for more details about the issue..

Hi Vikram.. i have alreday tried that. I even tried to install it from CD1/SEPWIN64 folder the result is still the same.
It just sits on the screen . i waited for 45 mins....no errors

the cusomer told him he got that “ Time Out error”  the next day when he came to office. So we are not sure when exactly that error came.

I am not sure whether this could be some kind of compatibility issue with I7 . I have forwarded the case to check that.

On the machine in question even running any other exe or msi is timmimg out...there could be something related to the OS that is causing the issue.

Windows Installer service has full permission

UAC is disabled

DCOM is OK

Waiting for the logs from the customer for further troubleshooting
