caught on drive letter
i had faced this issue when cdrom path was added into selection list
also spaces at the end of selection can bother you...
If the CDROM drive path matches a drive path in the file list, there are two options to resolve this issue (if the CDROM is required to be backed up, see steps below).
Option 1
1. Right-click on the policy, and select Change
2. Select the Backup Selections tab, select the CD-ROM drive path, then select Delete and OK
Option 2
1. Right-click on the policy, and select Change
2. Select the Backup Selections tab, select all drive paths (and the system state if applicable), then select Delete and OK
3. Select to add the directive All Local Drives

details required
1. What is the policy type u are using ? Lotus-Notes or MS-WINDOWS-NT ?
2. If using Lotus-Notes, what is the backup selection? All_lotus_databases ? backup_transaction_logs ? or the lotus notes database directory ? From the logs, it suggests that you are using directory E:/Mail/
I suggest that you read the documentation first and then configure backups

Drive path and Lotus Path.
Mail file location is E:\Mail
and Lotus is installed on D:\lotus\domino
lotus_notes_path
LOtus_notes_path and lotus_notes_ini variables are pointing to the right directory ?
have you opened a case with support ?

"Unix IS user friendly... It's just selective about who its friends are"
