    hi,
have you scanned n safe mode?

    apply Microsoft patches as well.

    You may try these steps
    1. Click Start > Run and type REGEDIT

    2. browse to the path  HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced
On the right side, double click the hidden value and give it a value of 1.

Let us know if it works
    Cheers
    Pete

Hi this is not the permanent solution but if you are talking about error on only one system then you can try out this. Create a new admin user and log in to that user. Now check if you can see hidden files. if yes then delete previous account and run AV scan.

search for a tool named  "RRT"  and download it . run the tool by selecting the appropriate option and restart the pc . and  se the effect.
