I am using Altiris Software Deployment and when i go to create a policy and select my computers I only see 94 computers.... but when i manage computers i see 217!!!
any ideas?
Please provide us more details like snapshots and the way you are creating policy which is showing only 94/217 computers. This will also make sure that there is no scroll for more computers in policy.
Here is the list of computers, I circled one that doesnt show up in the policy assign screen:
The computer list says there are 207 computers, but only 97 show when i go to add the computers to the policy.
Not sure but seems like only 97 out of 207 computers are managed which are coming in this "selected computer" list. This can be confirmed by Manage > Computers > Installed agent > {available} [As shown in image]
Sorry, I forget to add that filter criteria could be to look for only those managed resource where the required plug-in is installed to deliver the software which could be resulted into 97 computers in the list.
All Computers shows managed and unmanaged computers together. You likely have discovered from computers (using network discovery or Active Directory Import) that do not have the Symantec Management Agent installed (i.e. unmanaged). Managed computers have the SMA installed and are what the policy will allow you to select when you apply it to resources.
