Patch Management Solution

I need a way to notify my users that the patch has been applied or is complete.

Basically right now we custom notify them of the start of the patch and they have the option to select install now but then the window goes away and users never know when this process is complete.  This is important because IE can't be open during the patching process.

I tested the policy setting:

Settings 
 Agents/Plug-ins 
 Software 
 Patch Management 
 Windows 
 Default Software Update Plug-in Policy

The confusion here is the default message they display for this notification policy.  Which said something about updates are available.

Basically this opens a box once install starts displaying your message and slowly but surely does display activity and a bar.  Once completed you must wait like anywhere from 60 seconds to 2 minutes and the box will disappear.

This is what I was looking for.
