NS 7 All Computer Filter display fields

Can someone advise why the all computer filter has started displaying only 2 fields (Name & Domain)

Initially it also displayed (User, OS Name, OS Version etc)

How do I go about making it display this information again?

    Thanks,

    Darren

What is the specific service pack level you are running of the SMP?

The columns shown should be the exact same for every filter as they use a common process to display the data.  The columns do vary from what was shown in version 6.x but should be consistent in your environment.

    Screen shots may be helpful.

    I've done a fresh install of altiris 7 on 18th October 2010.

New app server & db server with no data imported form NS 6

The display fields appear to have changed as the filter is returning over 2500 results.

Got the same issue. Actually just noticed it today. It does not appear in my test environment. It only appears to affect query builder based computer reports as the raw sql based reports look OK.

I've seen this exact issue too.  Its not exactly a bug but the lack of consistency is a concern.

Hey guys, I just noticed this issue today as well... I can clone a filter that shows all the columns and the columns stay in the new filter. But then, if I modify the filter by changing the SQL criteria a bit, it switches back to just displaying the Name and ResourceType columns. It's also weird that some of the pre-canned filters show all the columns while some show only Name and ResourceType.

Can we please get some help with this issue?

I have also noiticed that some AD filters only show the resource name and nothing else.

    SMP 7.0 SP5 v8 rollup.

SK, are you able to tell if the SMP team knows about this bug and is working on a fix?

I have a case open for what I have mentioned.

For the other scenraio,s it will be best if the people concerned contact support via their usual channels in order to report it.

Got this back from Symantec and in my case it is as described, two resource types, computers and virtual machines in the same filter.

Do these filters have computers and VMs in them? If so, that is 'working as designed' state. When there are multiple types, only the two columns are displayed. If this is the case, about the only work around is to limit the filter to one type, which means needing two filters, one for each type.

This issue has been reported to Symantec Development team. A fix for this issue is scheduled to be provided in a future release.

Thank you for passing that info on! I would mark your post as the answer, but it's not my thread! :D

I have seen this problem only with AD related collections.

The main collection section will display all the columns and the VM section just the name one day, and then another day the main section will only display the name column and the VM section is gone.

    Very weird.
