This issue has been solved. See solution.

Does Notification Server 7 SP2 still not run on Server 2008? The SP2 Release Notes refer to the original release notes, which have Server 2008 as unsuppported.

Hello,

As far I am aware Windows 2008 and 64 Bit are not yet supported for NS7.

Regards,

2008, and 64bit

are slated to be available with the release of 7.1, which I think (not sure) is sometime in Q1 of next year.

I can't believe that Symantec

I can't believe that Symantec does not yet support NS7 and Windows 2008 on 64 Bit! Never mind the product have loads of problems but this should be basic!

I am now also looking at Microsoft SCCM products!

It is definitely on an upcoming roadmap

and should be out this year. That's all I know, and I would rather not speculate. Unfortunately, I can't find any exclamation points, and it's too early to get excited. So thanks for covering those two points for me. :)

Two hundred 2010?

Or does the H stand for 1/2 (as in second half)? I just would like it spelled out, as certain topics seem to attract fire (and ire).

NS7.1

Does anyone have any updates?  I heard that the end of January, 7.1 was supposed to be released and include 64 bit support as well as integration of the eXpress and Altiris databases due to DS and NS integration.  I also see DS 7.1 has been pulled from beta.altiris.com.

Any update on availability

Does anyone have any updates on the availability of 7.1?

About to start a fairly lager migration so would make sense to wait until 7.1 is available and reap the performance benefit of 2008 R2 (x64)- I hope!

Late Q3/Early Q4

It will be this year from all indications.
