I have NS 6.0.6074 Sp3 R10.

I cannot add member to any security roles. The NS cannot see my domain. I also cannot access the NS console from any remote  computer, error message "Access Denied" You do not have permissions to access the console. The NS server is in the domain and the DNS settings are correct. I can access the NS Console from the NS server.

Try using the fully qualified name

sometimes Altiris requires the FQDN to work.

When you go to add someone or a group to a security role

the domain is either filled in or can be specified. Usually it is the "short" name. Try using the FQDN there. If you're trying to get to the console, use the FQDN in the address..  http://servername.yourdomain.com/altiris/console.
