Both

Our Deployment team is in the process of creating an Office 2007 vsa. We are trying to find out which method works the best, using Wise or the SVS Admin tool. Currently they are working the same. Some of the issues we have run into are font problems, still trying to work around that. I would suggest using the setup's admin tool and create an auto install. Just run office 2007's setup.exe -admin. I think the easiest way to build the vsa is with Wise. It automatically adds some of the variables for exclusion and removes some of the un-needed files prior to compiling into a vsa.

Many thanks spazzzen, I'm trying to create an Office2007.vsa with Wise but when the installation ask for reboot and I click yes, when the pc starts I don't have the right page to finish the installation (wise, setup capture, execute installation) but the process restart again...

No restart

When creating VSA's you never need to restart. As I learned from the at Manage Fussion, the only reason a program needs to reboot, is either to start processes or to start something in the run command. Deactivating and Activating a vsa will have the same affect. So when building your Office vsa, make sure you never tell it to restart or allow it to do so. Something we have recently found out is you will need to strip the fonts from your layer and install them directly on the computer. If you haven't heard yet, fonts dont work very well with SVS yet. The way we are doing it, is installing the fonts prior to building the Office vsa, and then making sure to have the fonts installed on the computer it is going to be used on. We are also going to exclude fonts from being installed on the layer to prevent problems. If you are using an HII I would suggest putting those fonts on that image, that is also something we are planning on doing.
