Office 2007 & Notification Server (2 different questions)
Updated: 05 Nov 2010 | 3 comments
Is it supposed to work with Office 2007? Seemed to slow to a crawl.
Does the integrated version work with the latest Symantec Management, or where can you download an older Notification Server?

Eh?
Are you trying to run Office 2007 on your notification server, or are you trying to deploy Office 2007 with NS ? Which version of NS are you using?
Cryptic postings may save you time but taking a few extra seconds to put some detail into your postings is more likely to generate useful responses.

Sorry, these are 2 seperate questions. I have a license only for the integrated SVS, but it doesn't seem compatible with the latest Notification Server.
Msoffice 2007 just seems really slow running locally as a virtual application. I guess it's too big for a virtual app.
Licensing & Layer Performance
I believe the license key you have is applied at the client level for the stand-alone SVS agent during time of install. That license key is not compatibale with the SVS solution included with CMS 7 as the inegrated solution will use your CMS license key.
Are you running any other virtualized apps or just MS Office 2007? If you are running addtional apps do those experience any other degredation issues?
