I have several images created for various platforms and situations, all of them contain MS Office and other applications that have licensing information unique to their respective installs.

Question: Is there a tool within GSS that will allow me to add the license keys AFTER the image restore, and what steps would I need to go through.

                      Caveats: 1. Roaming, network-stored profiles

                                      2. SysPrep does not solve this issue

                                      3. GhostCast as well as conversations with the Symantec technical support team have not yielded any positive results on this matter

Current deployment of 20+ systems has had a flurry of follow-up calls to Microsoft, Rand McNally, and others to reinstate licensing.  I have 125+ to go, am I using the wrong tool (meaning GSS)?  Or should I expect headaches throughout the rollout?

Ghost is a deployment tool and not a licensing tool.  Microsoft provide various means for licensing Office in a corporate environment. You can choose to use a volume license "MAK" key or set up a KMS server which will hand out licenses from a central pool.  Licensing MS Office is not a Ghost issue - it is something you need to implement in your infrastructure using the Microsoft methodologies that are well explained on their website.

EdT is right, while Ghost can copy a license (since it copies the stuff on the machine), it does not help with licensing issues.  Are you using a KMS server to hand out your office keys, or are you using an individual key for everything/MAK key?  KMS is easier to deal with after the fact, since you can unregister the client from the KMS server before you sysprep it

    Hi Palumbo,

Whether you use GHost,MDT or any other imaging tool the best practices for Office or Windows activation remain the same. Please check the below links and the need here is to contact Microsoft for best practices,
