We are running against some registry virtualization problems, is there any technical limitation on svs?

Ive a USER_TEMPLATE "hive" in the Read Only layer for applying some user-specific settings.
Actally when a user logins, only some keys are getting populated to the user-specific writeable layer.

Anyone had similiar issues and maybe a solution?

Screenshot User Specific Writeable layer (directly after layer activation)

any help would be appreciate

Thanks,
Fabio

Did you update the RO

Did you update the RO sublayer directory on the computer having the layer already imported?
If so did the user already had the layer active once?

We've had a previous post regarding this where update RO sublayer only updated the RW sublayer the first time.
So, first try to reset the layer and see if that helps.

Is this a layer priority issue?

Are the layer settings that are not being applied, already present in the base user profile? If so, could this be an issue with layer priority settings needing to be set to a higher priority than the operating system?

after some monitoring

Solution

after some monitoring (procmon) and simply try & error tests i finally found the reason........

Its actually one registry VALUE (CmdBarData, REG_BINARY), which makes SVS to stop duplicating the whole "Options" subkey!
