Update 21-JAN-2010

Patches for the following versions have now been posted to LiveUpdate:
 

Symantec Endpoint Protection Small Business Edition 12 Release to Manufacturer (RTM) - 12.0.0122.192

12.0.122.176

Symantec Endpoint Protection Small Business Edition 12 Release Update 1 (RU1) - 12.0.1001.95

12.0.1001.68

Customers running SEPSBE are still protected, and we are continuing to release updated definitions as normal.  However, for the time being, SEPSBE definitions will display a date of December 31, 2009, with increasing revision numbers.

Symantec is working on a solution and will update customers when a solution becomes available.

IMPORTANT: This issue does not impact any other enterprise products (e.g. SAV or SCS) or consumer products.

Current certified definitions are December 31, 2009 rev 121

Response have now moved to a 3 times per day schedule for December 31st rev xxx definitions, as well as 2010 definitions.

An issue has been identified in the Symantec Protection Center (SPC) server whereby all types of SEPSBE definition content [AV/AS, IPS] with a date greater than December 31, 2009 11:59pm are considered to be “out of date”.

Updates available

The SEP SBE 12.0 patches are now live on the LU servers.
The KB article has been updated with a link for the new SEP 12.0 tool, and should be replicated in about an hour for those who need the information
