Created: 06 May 2014 | 5 comments

Hi All,

Can anyone here please share the steps or the article to optimize SQL Server database that I can follow to improve the EV archiving rate ?

I have done daily/nightly databse reindexing task using the SQL agent but I can't find the article or  the detailed steps to warrant complete offline EV maintenance.

What version of EV you are using?

Refer to below articles about EV 10 performance guide and SQL best practices

Amol,

I'm using EV version 9 an SQL Server 2005. Does it still applicable ?

Thanks guys, hopefully the steps defined in the EV 10 is still applicable to the EV 9.0.4 with SQL 2005 DB.

My goal is to prepare the database performance so that when I'm migrating the EV 9 to EV 10 the conversion rate is up to speed with no bottle neck on the database.

John, check for fragmentation in the databases by running dbcc showcontig with all_indexes command in your databases.
