  • 1.  One GUP serving clients from Multiple Unassociated Sites?

    Hello,

Because of a recently company merge, this question has arose in our environment.

If we have a location where there is one machine as GUP, but the clients are mix of Site A and Site B at that location, can this GUP serve both clients? Or is there an actual check that happens before downloading def's to see if the client thats downloading is in the same site as GUP?

you can considering clients can connect to GUP , however suggest to have GUP at each of the site.

i also wanted to make a point, the GUP and clients should report to the same SEPM.

It does work as we have a few sites like this but as Pete suggested, it is best to have one at each site.
