This issue has been solved. See solution.
The issue here, is of course the speed, but the next issue that I am having to deal with is that the definitions are diplaying from September 17th 2009. They can ALL communuicate with the SEP and they all have the green dot over the gold shield. Do I just need to sit and wait it out, or can I do anything else in the meantime??? I think the issue is most definitely the slowness.

SEPM is still at 12-31
The updates on SEPM STILL reflect 12-31, but at least that is more current than 9-17...

Create a new group and move some clients to that group and then try to run command on group to update the content.
