Endpoint Protection

Hi,

running SEPM 12.1.3. When I deploy 7 SEP clients, on the Clients section only show up 3 clients. SEPM is installed following the manual and there is no firewall between the clients and the SEPM. Tried turning off all Windows firewalls, but still the same. Is it a license issue? I am using trial by now.

The 'secars' check displays OK in every SEP client browser. All clients are on Windows Server 2008 R2, the same as the SEPM.

Any help?

if you check one of the clients not showing up, go to Help >> Troubleshooting, under Server does it show connected to your SEPM?

Does the client have a green dot on the icon in the task tray?

Both yes. Check every client and is engaged with the SEPM. On all PC's all systrays are displaying the SEP client icon with the green dot.

This a VMware vCloud environment, all hosts are VM's, maybe this has something to do with the issue?

Since you're on the latest version, it would be tough to tell at this point. RU3 just came out last week.

If you search for those clients in the SEPM, do they show up?

Try to replace the syink and check it communicate with Server or not.

may be push was successful but the installation failed.

do you see the client isntalled on the endpoints?

Since you see the clients on all the VM machines properly installed and with green dots (which states they are reporting to the SEPM).

In this case, you may like to open the SEP client machine (which are not showing on SEPM), click on HELP, click on Troubleshooting and check the General Information.

It would show Server name, Group it is reporting to and Last connected status.

Could you upload us the screenshot of the same??

You can click on Update and check the SEPM again.

When I tried that the folder was unwriteable using the smc -stop.

Yes, the client appears on the systray with the green dot on every desktop.

I think you will be seeing this message tomorrow, if the clients are with green dot but not able to see in the Console then there could be only 2 reasons.

1) Systems are deployed as Images by cloning, if yes, follow this doc to clear the HWId, they would showup one by one.

2) Multiple domains in SEPM.

Open SEPM

admin- servers

domains

do you see multiple domains, if yes, right click on that and select Administer, go back to the groups check if the systems are visible.
