I have been spending the last 2 days trying to image 100 HP 2140's what little success. And no not all 100 at once only 7 to 10 at once. I find if I try to image more then 2 altiris will say it can’t open the file. I am using the dos boot image. Since it's the only one that works right. Now. If I try and do more then 2 in the DS console it will say can't open file. It also says that on the client end also and also say the production partition may be corrupted. I at first I though it was an issue with the partition so I  used this command to wipe out the drive .\ghost\gdisk.exe 1 /QWIPE. But the problems seams to be with DOS not being able to image more then 2 at once is all I can do other wise I get the can not open the file error.

I have tried every thing under the sun I can think of but nothing seams to work

I would like more info, what version of DS of you using? And is this a Ghost image or Rdeploy? Do you have multiple hard drives in the systems you are trying to image?

What kind of network are you working with?  10/100?  Gigabit?  Are the drivers that you are using only running at 10mbit half duplex?  Why are you stuck with DOS?  If using DS 6.9, you can download the WinPE setup files for free.  This would make your life simpler, IMHO.  Ghost?  Rdeploy?  A little description of your setup would also help.  Are all the computers in a single room running off the same switch network?  Using DHCP or PXE?  I would start with the DOS drivers, make sure that you have the latest from the network card manufacturer.
