Hi,
We have a DEMO OnPremise installation of AppCenter and we need to know if it's possible to remove the installed licences in order to do some tests.
many thanks.

Hello Daniele,
I apologize for the delay in response on this item, as it required investigation and time.
We cannot suggest any method of removing an installed license. This is due to the fact that when a license is installed, it is then registered with Symantec's licensing servers, and it cannot be reset on these servers.
If there is a problem with an installed license on the App Center server, Symantec Support can assist in resetting the license status, but this should only be pursued on an as-needed basis.
For demo purposes, I would suggest sticking with trial-based installations.
Thanks,
Andrew
Hello Andrew,
I've found the solution to reset to trial installation with this command.
cd /usr/local/nukona/appstore_cu
**to know your tenant ID**
[root@mobile1 appstore_cu]# /usr/local/nukona/python/bin/python scripts/tenantaccount.pyc --list
0001: mobile Entity:Company Created: 2012-12-11 04:28:57
/usr/local/nukona/python/bin/python scripts/tenantaccount.pyc <tenant name | id> --reset_to_trial
And you have the Licenses Reset to Trial
I've tested only with AppCenter 4.1 version.
Regards,
Daniele.
Hi Daniele,
You are correct that the above will reset the license status locally to the server, but I did not recommend this because we do not want customers using this approach in a common fashion. This should only be performed by Enterprise Support on an as-needed basis. This is because the license is not reset on the global Symantec licensing servers when the above command is run.
I still recommend leveraging virtualization snapshots to restore to a fresh environment as needed.
Thanks,
Andrew
