Opening Ghost Spanned Image Files

  • 1.  Opening Ghost Spanned Image Files

    Hi,

Last week I backed-up my C-drive with Ghost from my Norton SystemWorks 2004.
I wrote it directly to my USB 2.0 harddrive... not that all worked fine...
The Ghost Image wrote it down in spanned image files on the mentioned harddrive.

Now I want to restore some elements from this backup but cannot open my GHO-file.
It says it is corrupt and even the switches below while running ghost-explorer didn't offer me any help
    "D:\Program Files\Symantec\Ghost\Ghostexp.exe" -ignoreindex
    "D:\Program Files\Symantec\Ghost\Ghostexp.exe" -corrupt

When I look at my GHO file it is only 8-bytes and I guess this isn't correct but that where I am stuck with now. For the rest I have 23 GHS-files with a total off about 45Gb.

Now I don't need to recover the entire drive but just need some files from the spanned images.

Is there a way to rebuild this to 1 GHO-file or rebuild the main GHO-file?
Or is there a way I can browse through the GHS files and select the appropriate files out off there?

I hope anyone can help me let the sun shine again because it has been raining here in the Netherlands and I guess this is one off the reasons.:smileywink:

    Many thanks...
