OpsCenter 7
Updated: 23 Aug 2010 | 3 comments
Hello All,
I have setup a OpCenter 7 on RHEL 5.4, i initally had a problem of the master going into partially connected state, once i enabled telnet the master now stays connected.
However, certain monitors will not update unless ie. jobs i can see jobs in the activity monitor but OpsCenter console will not see them unless i disable/enable data collection or restart the OpCenter server. It works fine on 2003, where i can see jobs as active when running and then completed.
Another problem i have seen is, i created a alert policy for "Policy Changes" and then this was deleted. For some reason this deleted policy is alerting when OpCenter server was restarted. strange??
Any ideas?
TIA

Its better you contact Symantec Technical Support.

I think Opscentre isn't that
I think Opscentre isn't that cool, I had some reports configured on NOM and after the upgrade, some are missing. My policy change does not work at the moment! I had to redo most reports to get them going again.
I had same issue from 6.3.1 to 6.5
I had the same issue in NOM when I upgraded from 6.3.1 to 6.5
Some of my reports stopped working and I had to recrate them.
So I don't think is "ops center" it think its the upgrade that has an issue.
And I made sure I followed all steps of dowing NOM and the NB servers before I did the upgrade.
I don't have to know how to spell....I work on Unix.
