Willie,

After you add the OpsCenter host to the master, you then need to add the master to OpsCenter.

Click on Settings, Configuration, click on NetBackup, then click ADD...

You can add the master name to configuration, and data collection should start running.

Or follow TN: http://www.symantec.com/docs/HOWTO43037

If you have any questions, please let me know.

Hi,

I tried that procedure BUT seems I am missing something. Setting, configuration, netbackup and then ADD.

I might be missing something obvious - but I do not see ADD.

I attached a screendump of the actual page.

Hope you can help.

Willie,

Something is not correct with the installation... you should definately see an ADD button on this screen.

Example:

Since this is a new environment, you may want to reinstall the product, perhaps something happened during install.

I have gone the re-install route - it rusulted in the same thing.

If you have reinstalled the product, perhaps it is Internet Explorer...

Please Try FireFox, or Even Chrome (Although, Officially Unsupported at this time)

Group Policy can place restrictions within IE, and may not display all of the Java related content within OpsCenter.

Also, please attempt connectivity from another host's web browser and see if the results change.

I managed to connect and configure the basic Ops Center from my own laptop IE connection while logged onto the VPN. It must be something with the Internet Explorer on that system. I did find message about Enhanced Security Configuration enabled when I open the IE - I have attached the screen shot. Maybe??

Willie,

That is correct...

Windows Local Security and Group Policies may be preventing java scripting and some additional web related items from running locally on the OC-Server.

You are able to open OpsCenter from your workstation, due to less restrictions being implemented for Web Related content.

If you have any questions, please let me know.
