Did you specify any specific
Did you specify any specific Job Type and/or exit status while creating the alert policy (page 2 in Alert Policy creation).
Did you specify and specific scope while creating the alert policy (page 3 in Alert Policy creation).
Are you able to see alerts in Opscenter UI?
HI
What have you changed in these two weeks ( Is it an upgrade ) . What version of Opscenter you are running ?.

ENVIRONMENT:
Master Server SO :Solaris 10x86
Netbackup Version :7.1

Notes : The Master Server and Opscenter is running in same server.
Problem Description :
I Setup in OpsCenter several alerts, in the "Alert Polices" :

Alert Condition - Job : Job Finalized
Types : all "check"
Include all exit status "check"
ALL MASTER SERVER and check all polices (I have only one Master)

Alert Severity : Informational
Severity of email/trap sent for cleared alert : Informational
Activate The Police : "check"
######## Alert Police 2 #######
Name Alert : Job Finalized Error
Alert Condition - Job : Job Finalized
Types : all "check"
Include all exit status "check"
Exit Status to Exclude : 0, 1
ALL MASTER SERVER and check all polices (I have only one Master)
Trap Recepients : TO my snmp server
Alert Severity : Critical

Activate The Police : "check"
###### Alert Police 3 ##################
Name Alert : Frozen Media
Alert Condition - Media: Frozen Media
ALL MASTER SERVER and check all Medias (I have only one Master)
Trap Recepients : TO my snmp server
Alert Severity : Warning
Severity of email/trap sent for cleared alert : Informational
Activate The Police : "check"
Trap Recepients : TO my snmp server
Alert Severity : Critical
Severity of email/trap sent for cleared alert : Informational
Activate The Police : "check"
######## Alert Police 4 #######
Name Alert : Incomplete Job
Alert Condition - Job : Incomplete Job
ALL MASTER SERVER and check all polices (I have only one Master)
Trap Recepients : TO my snmp server
Alert Severity : Warning
Severity of email/trap sent for cleared alert : Informational
Activate The Police : "check"
Problem :
When the backup finishes, it is not generated any alerts , if backup complete successfully “status code 0” (Police Alert 1), i not see any alerts in the Monitor -> Alerts or in "Alert Summary by Severity"
I put the any policy running “manual Backup” , and canceled the job, backup finish with status code 150, but again not generate any alert. ( Alert Police 2) , and put other backup running, but because a client is Offline the backup finish with status code 58, and again not generated any alert. i not see any alerts in the Monitor -> Alerts or in "Alert Summary by Severity"
But, when put any tape frozen , the alert is generated , and see alerts in the Monitor -> Alerts or in "Alert Summary by Severity"
But, when any job has its state "Incomplete" the alert is generated , and see alerts in the Monitor -> Alerts or in "Alert Summary by Severity"
I' m try more alerts and only Alert Condition "Job Finalized " is not Work. I see all Jobs in Monitor -> Jobs and results in % in the Job Summary by Exit Status
This alerts worked well until September, i try any situation "stop/start Services in Opscenter (opsadmin) or Netbackup, I disable and enable collections and alerts , reboots. But only alerty by condition is Job Finalized is not Work.
Job Finalized Alert Issues / Troubleshooting
Nuno,
Please try the following:
1) Recreated the alert - perhaps the alert has become corrupt or has another filter issue associated with it.
2) Check ./installpath/OpsCenter/Server/db/log (Confirm if there are any SLG Files present) If so delete them, as they are failed SQL queries.
3) Cycle OpsCenter
4) Test a condition, failed or canceled job to Alert in OpsCenter.
5) Check the /installpath/OpsCenter/Server/logs directory (Confirm if there are any trap_2011*.log 's created)
If you do not receive alerts after recreating, may I suggest opening a case, as there maybe an underlying issue.
