  • 1.  Oracle 11g RAC with DLP 11.6

    I have a customer preparing to upgrade from DLP 10.0 to 11.6 and Oracle 10g to 11g.  They have asked about a feature in Oracle, to determine if it will work with DLP.  The question they ask is below:

    The Oracle 11g Standard Edition has a feature RAC – Real Application Cluster single node (which means that there is failover for Oracle on a single node).  Is this supported by DLP v 11.6?

    Any light you can shed is appreciated.

    Mark,

    If you are using the oracle instance from Symantec, anything other then what is in the guide isnt not a supported instance. This means that if they call support Symantec has hte option of not helping them. Also the Symantec Oracle instance is specifically built just for DLP and does not have full built in features of a COTS Oracle. Sorry i can shed much lihgt on this for you.
