This issue has been solved. See solution.

We are using the Oracle agent with Backup Exec 2010 (v13.0 Rev. 2896) with backups being initiated from the Oracle server.  After a job runs the Backup Selection List for the job remains in the Backup Selection List window under the Job Setup menu.  The net result is that we have thousands of backup selection lists on our server with names like Backup Select List 9550, Backup Selection List 9551, etc.

Is there a way to automatically remove these backup selection lists after the job is run or after a certain period of time?

Thanks.

No.  There is no way to automatically remove the selection lists.  You would have to manually delete them.

. Also when you create a one time backup job there is an option which says delete the job after it completes. Make sure that option is selected when you create a backup next time. It will automatically delete the job after it completes. This option is available under schedule tab.

Thanks

The user is talking about deleting selection lists, not jobs
