Hello,
does anyone know the procedure to get the following to work I have tried a lot and keep getting stuck.
One master server NB 7 - two robots x and y in different locations
Oracle backup is taken is robot x
We have exported tapes from robot x and imported into robot y
Whenever rman script was run from alternate client it asked for the correct tape but never mounted it in robot y,
Anyone done anything like this before - I've managed to get it working on other environments where you have seperate master servers.

Please bear in mind that restore requests are always sent to original media server that performed the backup.
So, if backup was done by Media Server A attached to robot X, and you now need to restore via Media Server B attached to robot Y, you need to tell NBU to use Server B and not Server A. Simply putting media in robot Y is not enough.
You did not mention master server OS - best to go to Host Properties -> Master -> General Server -> Media Host Override.
Add Server A to Original server tab an Server B to Restore server tab.
Supporting Storage Foundation and VCS on Unix and Windows as well as NetBackup on Unix and Windows
