Order Category
I Import the category with "Import Admin Data".
I noticed that the categories that were in the xls file converted to xml were not in order A-Z.
I thought the Help Desk automatically organize these categories, but no. How to order it from A-Z?
Another question: How to make the field in the category appear entirely visible, regardless of the number of characters?

Before you import
To sort them, I recommend doing so before you import them. It will import them in the order that it is specified within the xml file. You can find a nice tool here on Symantec Connect to help you sort these.

As for your second question. The width of the column is directly proportionate to the number of columns allowed in the category tree. This number is set in the workitemeditgeneral template through the tree depth value. Unfortunately if you are using 4 or more levels, I believe it is going to cut it off.
Two ways of doing this that I
Two ways of doing this that I know of.
1. using Altiris to rearrange everyone by hand one at a time.
2. Using the 'Excel Spreadsheet for Managing Large Helpdesk Category Systems' article to export all your categories, sort your categories in the excel spreadsheet , delete off your current ones on the system , then import these back in. Now there are two important things to remember always backup your database before trying this and always backup your database before trying this. The only thing on the delete the old categories is that when I did this is was a fresh database and didn't have static data. This could be an issue so if someone else has some experience on this please speak up now. So this does work for freash databases but I don't know on static databases.

Good luck
