Hi

I am new on here and very new to altiris.

I have managed to set up a group below an organization and set up a job, to push machines into the group based on IP address.

but my question, is can i change how the information is presented. at the moment in the group it shows, 'name', 'Organizational Group', 'Source' and 'resource type' but i wat it to display the IP Address and Is managed boxes just like it was in the old collections.

Thanks

Rob

This might be a tough order

The custom organizational views\groups are all static. So, you are going to have to create a filter, based on IP address, and then assign it to your group. This will create the target for distribution, but I doubt it will show up the way you want to.

Another work around...

You can also enable the AD Import to import Sites & SUbnets which will also perform an auto-associate for Subnet to Site. This import can also create collections based upon Subnets at the same time which may help in providing the built-in filters for IP addressing & roll-out.

There is one caveat... if your network uses super-netting at all, not all assets may be listed in the IP collection due to the limited abiltiy of the NS to calculate out the subnet. It is explained here: https://kb.altiris.com/article.asp?article=32046&p=1
