Origin of e-mail alert - SEP Manager database has gone down?
Created: 11 Jan 2013 | Updated: 11 Jan 2013 | 6 comments
This issue has been solved. See solution.
I want to change the recipients of this particular e-mail alert, but I can't find the configuration area in the management console. I'm guessing at this point that it's a system-generated event that uses e-mail addresses listed somewhere in an area that isn't explicit about where all those are used?
Anyway, if someone can tell me where the addresses are that are used for the "The Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager database has gone down and needs immediate attention" are, I would be very grateful! :-)
Thanks,
Mark

Are you saying that I can't change the recipiets of that notice? That doesn't seem likely as it's currently going to two people - one of whom no longer works here and the other (who does) wants additional people added to replace the guy who's gone.
Thanks,
Mark
I believe if they are setup as a System Administrator and have an email entered address under their name in SEPM they will automatically get them. Or check your notifications in the Monitors tab and edit accordingly for the System Events alert.

Thanks - that thread helped, I believe... At least, it led me to think that maybe I should create a new notification with all of the recipients in it.
Thanks,
Mark
Or just add to the existing one. But whatever is easiest for you.
