The Shortucts in the Mail box dosent gets deleted after the Archived items got deleted due to retention. When i try to open the shorcut it says that the Archive items in no longer in the evault, but the Shortcuts are till there in the inbox.

1) i have the delete orphan shortuct enabled on the Mailbox policy.
2) We donot have Vault Cache
3) I have synched the Mailbox and Re-ran the Archivng task N number of time but till the orphan shorcuts are not deleted,

Where the shortcuts created

Where the shortcuts created for emails archived via a PST import do you know?,

If so you may need to manual delete the shortcuts, but first have you ran the archive task in report mode against the mailbox, In the report it will have the total number of orphaned shortcuts seen in the mailbox. If you open the report in excel it will be must clearer to read.

You can find all shortcuts in a mailbox by doing an advanced find on message class, the message class for a shortcut is IPM.NOTE.EnterpriseVault.Shortcut

The Shortcuts are not by PST

The Shortcuts are not by PST IMport, They are mails that were archived in the Mailbox and deleted due to retention Policy

Hi Karthik,

Please do an archive run in report mode on that specific user... and remember if you on V8 then its not "Archiving" that process shortcuts, but "Process Shortcuts" so you will need to run that and not "Process Mailboxes"....
