NAV 11.0.3 should now be available
I just wanted to post a quick update that the update for NAV for Snow Leopard compability, 11.0.3, should now be available via LiveUpdate. (The reason I say 'should' is: I was able to update my test install, but replication to the different LiveUpdate servers may not be complete.)
Current NAV customers need only launch LiveUpdate for product updates (Update Everything Now would work) to get this update. If the file was moved to the Incompatible Software folder during the OS upgrade, you may need to remove (using the RemoveSymantecMacFiles) and reinstall NAV, then run LiveUpdate right away.
More information as I get it, for SAV customers.

Here..
Symantec has released Norton AntiVirus for Macintosh 11.0.3, which is fully qualified for use with Mac OS X 10.6, Snow Leopard. There is a “Corporate version” of this product available. Please see here for more information about this release and contact Symantec Enterprise Technical Support for Macintosh products to obtain a copy of this software. Please note the following when migrating a workstation from Symantec AntiVirus for Macintosh to Norton AntiVirus for Macintosh:
Symantec Antivirus for Macintosh will need to be removed via an appropriate uninstall tool. This tool will be provided by support with the Norton AntiVirus 11.0.3 installation software.
Clients running Norton AntiVirus 11.0.3 cannot be managed by the Symantec Administration Console for Macintosh.
Norton AntiVirus 11.0.3 will now provide vulnerability protection along with antivirus protection to client machines that the software is installed to.
An update to Symantec AntiVirus for Mac customers is being prepared at this time with a release scheduled as soon as possible . In addition to updating Symantec AntiVirus for Mac in the near future, Mac OS X 10.6 will also be supported in Symantec Endpoint Protection 11.x, due in Q2 2010. For information on obtaining an update to your existing Symantec product, please read Obtaining an upgrade or update for Symantec AntiVirus Corporate Edition or Symantec Client Security.

Why is there a delay between the availability of Mac OS X 10.6 and Symantec products becoming compatible with the new Mac OS?
The final version of Mac OS X 10.6 was not made public until August 28, 2009 and it is necessary to test and ensure compatibility with this new operating system. This process requires a period of time. Please check back regularly for updates...

SAV 10.3 update
From this point forward, I'll be updating the following post, rather than chasing down the 4-5 threads and updating them individually. Thanks!

I updated to snow leopard, need to uninstall symantec
I updated to snow leopard and found out that Symantec Antivirus 10.2 client for mac os x is not compatible. I'm getting annoying messages at log in from symantec to run live update or re-install. I don't know how to remove/fix this. At this point all I want to do is remove/uninstall symantec antivirus 10.2 and wait until the proper release/update comes out. I can't even find symantec on my system to remove it! The two icons are in the preference panel. Please help
thanks
SAV 10.2.3 will be SL compatible
