Out of Disk Space - Symantec Enpoint Protection Small Business Edition 12.1
Hey, I am expereincing some difficulties with Symantec Enpoint Protection Small Business Edition 12.1. The Embedded database has grown to more than 120 Gb of disk space. There are only 10 clients configured and managed by the SEP application at this time. I was not aware of a problem until I started getting error message that the disk space was low.
The SEP is installed on a 32 Bit Windows 2008 Enterprise Virtual Server with 2 GB RAM and 200 Gig Disk allocated.
After receiving the messages the "disk was almost full" I found a technical article here
http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH185177
and downloded the tool. Once I did a backup and was able to get the tool to run correctly, it began the process of "Unloading DB" and because the disk was almost full from the database, the following error occured while trying to shrink the database :
"Disk Full" Disk full when writing to C:\progrmFiles\Symantec
Endpint Protection Manager\db\sem5.db." OS error: There is not
enough disk space. (error code: 112). Retry?
After aborting the shrinking process I no longer have any disk space available.
Any suggestions?
Thank you.
