    Greetings!!!

I am looking for a valid reponse on a simple query regarding outbound email flow  I am little concerned where i am missing the loop.

My current Outboubd Email flow is HUB-->SMG---->firewall-->Outside the network.

But i have an Exhange Edge server in betwwen SMG and Firewall. When the outbound email flows, it directly goes out without reaching or passing by Exchnage hub. I want the flow to be HUB-->SMG---->Edge-->firewall-->Outside the network

To achive my requirement do i need to Add Edge server IP in the Non Local relay option in SMTP settings of the scanner? Also do i need to set a Receive connector in Edge to accept email from Edge?

    Waiting for your expert advises.

Why don't you want the SMG to be the last server mail touches? This disables a host of features and makes the Messaging Gateway less effective.

As i menstioned in my insert, i have added Edge server IP in the Non Local relay option in SMTP settings of the scanner and my flow became HUB-->SMG---->Edge-->firewall-->Outside the network.

I am marking this post as solved so that someone can use it as usecase.
