This issue has been solved. See solution.

Hi,

I'm running Symantec Endpoint 11.0.4000.2295 and Microsoft Outlook 2007 with all service packs applied.
Sometimes when opening mails, especially ones with attatchments, Outlook stalls for up-to 10 seconds.
I have all items older than 3 months stored in a PST-file which amounts up to 7GB, but disabling this feature doesn't help.
It all runs smoothly when I disable Endpoint by right clicking the tray icon and select 'disable'.
Any suggestions?

BR,
Jon

Please download the latest release and update on one client check if that helps the preformance

Outlook Auto-Protect has problems with attachments containing non-ASCII letters in the file name
Fix ID:
1529690
Symptom: Attachments with non-ASCII characters cannot be opened.
Solution: Added functionality to retrieve the UNICODE

No

You dont need to buy it you just need the serial key which you used to download earlier versions.

go to
https:/fileconnect.symantec.com
put in your serial key
Select MU5
Select CD1
download it.
once done, install just the client on one of the affected machine
check the performance.if its well and fine, upgrade the environment to MU5

check this discussion for more info.
