    Hello,

We have an application that sends out an email using the default Outlook profile. By default, Outlook 2010 is configured with the following security setting:

"Warn me about suspicious activity when my antivirus software is inactive or out-of-date (recommended"

The Antivirus status for Outlook is then listed as valid. I'm using 12.1.3001.165 and it doesn't matter what components are installed. I'll still get the warning message. Basically this shouldn't be happening if Antivirus is up to date... does anyone have any fix for this?

A screenshot of the error prompt has been attached.

Since you're on latest version I would suggest a support call. Have not seen this.

Microsoft documentation on the error says that "Outlook 2010 relies on the Windows Security Center to check for the presence of the antivirus software and update its status."

Does the Windows Security Center reflect the correct information?

This sounds like it would disable the feature. I don't think he wants to do that. Plus, I don't think he is having trouble sending mail.
