We are still waiting for Outlook 2010 support. When will the supported PGP Desktop version be released?

Is there anyone on symantec who cares on this? It's June 2011 now. Do you want to skip this version and join us on the next one?

Where can i sign to a PGP Desktop newsletter?

Which should be available sometime during August 2011.

I have just installed PGP 10.2 (64bit) and tried if PGP is properly signing and/or encrypting messages from Outlook 2010 (32bit) in a Win 7 Home (64bit) environment.

Result: Encryption does not work. If I check the boxes "encryption" or "signing" before I send an Email with Outlook 2010 nothing is done.

Are there any kind of settings that I need to adjust ?

It sounds like you are using setting the flag in the email message using Outlook to encrypt. Do you have a PGP button allowing you to encrypt the message that way? Or are those buttons missing?

I am using the buttons in Outlook. The buttons appear and can be marked but the messages are not signed or encrypted.

Please check to see that the button policies are present, enabled, and at the top of your PGP messaging policies.

Do you have Secure Email enabled on the Messaging tab of PGP Options?

This Knowledge Base Article may help.

Please also reread the PGP Release Notes for any conflict your system may have; particularly any antivirus adjustments that may be needed.

Please also make sure you don't have any other software such as anti-spam, anti-malware, or AV proxying your email.

Secure email is enabled on the mesasaging tab of PGP options.

Internet / Mail connections work when I disable PGP services.

    SMTP authentication is enabled.

The PGP log shows no clue what might go wrong.

SSL/TLS is not enabled in Outlook 2010.

Only sandard port numbers are used.

I am working with F-Secure Internet Security. There is a hint in the release notes that the option to Scan and remove viruses from web traffic in the F-Secure settings shall be disabled. However I do not find this setting in F-Secure, and I do not find the referenced PGP Support KB article 1767.

Can you sent me a link to this article?

The described problem in the KB article is not a solution. The article describes a situation where email messages remain in the Outbox and one is unable to send email messages. However email messaging works fine, although without encryption...

Have you tried viewing the PGP Desktop logs by right clicking on the PGP Desktop tray icon and selecting "View PGP Log". Is there any error messages/warnings in there? I would also check your PGP Messaging options in PGP Desktop and make sure that the mail account is configured in there.

The mail accouts I intend to use for encryption (and have so in the past before I moved to Outlook 2010) are configured. The log shows no suspicous error message.

I have updated to version 10.2.0 MP 1 but PGP is still not signing or encrypting my messages using Outlook 2010.

I have notices only one errror mesage in the logfile that is related to an incoming message

    19:40:09 E-Mail-Adresse Fehler MAPI Proxy: ..\shared\OCconnection.cpp : Line 135 : Echo::oc::OCconnection::SetServerInfo2
19:40:09 E-Mail-Adresse Fehler ServerName is empty
19:40:09 E-Mail-Adresse Fehler Received OCC error ecBadParameter PGPError: (bad parameters)

I do not think this error message has something to do with the fact that PGP is simply not encrypting Outlook 2010 messages.

Today I ran another test. The result decryption works fine with PGP 10.2.0 MP1 and Outlook 2010 but encryption still does not work.

Nobody has a clue why encryption does not work with Outlook 2010 ?
