    Howdy all,

    We've recently begun having issues with the Outlook addin for SEP 12.1.6 MP4 and MP5 (MP5 has not been pushed to production, however we are seeing the same behavior in our test group).  Messages in Outlook 2013 / 2016 on Windows 10 machines are having VERY slow send times.  Speed is normal when opening / previewing messages in the in-box.  However all outbound emails regardless of size, with or without attachments are having problems.  When the message is sent, Outlook will hang for 30+ seconds.  The email will eventually send, however you can't do anything in Outlook until then.

    We have verified that the problem goes away if you disable the SEP add in.  Also a complete rip/reinstall of SEP fixes the problem for awhile, however we have begun to see repeat offenders on machines we did the reinstall on.  Is anyone else seeing this behavior?

    this issue calls for a support ticket with symantec and let them know of this situation. They may provide you a work around.

    I can only say I've seen this issue many times over the years with this add-in. There are very few config changes to make for it but support may have something up their sleeve.
