    Hi all

i'm trying to control the attachments in outlook emails by trying to disable all file types except for the ones that employees are acutally using like pdf,jpg etc..

        Application Control 1.PNG

as you see in the attached screen shot this is my process so far , btw this policy is switched to "allow access" instead of block. the problem is when it was on "Block" mode i cannot even start outlook. i tried as you see to exclude some of the files that outlook need to use in order to run or start itself but still outlook cant start.

then i enabled the logging and it showed me that outlook uses more than 350 files to run and no way i'm going to exculed them all one by one.

so how can i adjust this policy to let outlook start and block unwanted attached file types to run or write.

Fairly certain this won't work as expected. You can block certain files but it's going to block all files, not just attachments. You can see what I did with the test policy I just setup. It's attached.

Your need calls more for email filtering.
