    Hello,

    i got following problem:

We installed Symantec Encrytion Desktop. Everything works fine I can send and receive encrypted emails. The "only" problem is that Outlook 2013 does not decrypt the incoming emails. I only see lots of figures and letters like for example:

    bp6SpWaeaSCzJNtIZy2rMb+8nyakTuchEgqyIXvctZ5d0N6eDTQlHDq6Ze1T

I have to move the incoming email into the PGP Viewer.

The weird thing is that it already worked some weeks ago but then suddenly it didnt work anymore. I changed nothing in Outllook oder Encryption Desktop.

Is there anything that i can check by myself to fix that problem?

Hope you can help me. If you speak german you can answer in german.

    Thank you in advance

    Hi pgpgp,

Could you please confirm if the messaging service is enabled, by going to the PGP Messaging section and selecting the service, also the "Use Email Proxy" option under tolls is checked?

    Hello!

I have the same problem. I think the reason is in the last updates from MS.

Hi! We have found the reason that suddenly stopped working e-mail decryption. Enable the group policy setting for Outlook 2013 "Prevent users from adding new content to existing PST files" leads to the failure of decryption. The location parameter is the following: Administrative Templates/Microsoft Outlook 2013/Miscellaneous/PST Settings/ I hope our experience will help you. Good luck!

OK, we found the new policy setting that was causing the problem.   HKey_CurrentUser\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Office\14.0\Outlook\PST and the key is PSTDisableGrow

By deleting the PSTDisableGrow we know have Outlook automatically decrypting emails once again.

This helped me to fix the decryption on MS-outlook.

I fixed it by changing the value of key "PSTDisableGrow" to "0".

    Worked without deleting key "PSTDisableGrow"

key=> HKey_CurrentUser\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Office\14.0\Outlook\PST and the key is PSTDisableGrow
