I am running Windows 2k3sp2 server .I da earlier Symantec client security 3.1 installed . Now I have removed it and installed SEP11mr4 .Now whenever I open my Msoutlook It shows an error saying that unable to load c:\program files\symantec\... . As I click ok then outlook starts.

why this error message appears as I have a clean uninstall then no problem in installation.

    how to stop the error

    Hello,

i had the same problem with a colleague of mine.

The trick is to uncheck the Outlook Addin.

What Outlook Version do you have ?

In 2007 it is (i hope i translate it right - i have the german version):

    Tools/Trust Center/AddIns

Then select Exchange Addins at the bottom of the settings window.
There should be something like "Symantec Client Security 3.1"
If you uncheck this. The error should no longer occur.

If you can't find it this page will help (for Outlook 2003):

    @ Bijay

    The following KB should help

Error: "The add-in 'C:\program files\Symantec Antivirus\vpmsece4.dll' could not be installed..."
