overhead when no layers are active?

I know the overhead question has been raised before, but I haven't found a particular post that talks about SVS's overhead when no layers are active. Is there any overhead once SVS is installed (given it is always "running"), but when no layers are activated?

usually no because SVS isn't doing anything when no layers are active and we have a very small memory footprint but I've seen overhead with certain AV and Firewall products unless they're added to SVS's process ignore list and in some cases adding SVS to the AV or Firewall's white-list.
