Today we saw a 10x increase in the size of the updates, from 60-70mb to 640MB.. My LUA servers have not changed configuration in about a 3 months so I'm not sure why there would be a jump.

is this a known issue?

is there a way to throttle how much bandwidth LU uses or which definitions it downloads?   We have 5 LU Servers (2 at our corp office and 1 at each of 3 testing sites)   at each location the bandwidth utilization makes the sites unworkable while trying to download these updates.      Unfortunately 2 of the sites are 24hr sites and there isnt much of a change in its bandwidth utilization throughout the day so using a non-peek time wont work for them.

also, looking at the definitions I'm seeing x64 and x86 patches being downloaded, but we only need x86.   Beyond 'Symantec Endpoint Protection 11.0 English'  I can't find where to limit what is being downloaded

Got hit with the large defintiions again, as noted in the other thread.   Questions remain:

Is there a way to throttle how much Bandwidth it uses?

Is there a way to control which definitions it downloads?

No is an acceptable answer, I'd rather hear something back than nothing please

I believe the option a RESUMABLE and CUSTOM download would be found from SEP 12 onwards ... which is already out for beta testing and scheduled to release next year...
