Owned Licenses not installed

I am wondering how others manage licenses that are purchased for a user - but then the user does not want it installed so you have an extra license to use for someone else - do you use the stockroom feature in Altiris so you know you have a license next time someone requests one? Also when you enter a license purchase do you tie it to a machine and/or user? What process do you follow when a user leaves and it frees up a licenses their department purchased for them

Hello,

Asset Management Solution of IT management Suite support software licensing functionality. Software License is tracked based on per computer. Currently, there is no support to user based license tracking

Manually you can edit the software License, associate purchase, add borrowed /Donated count , non-inventoried count.

Asset Management Suite user guide will give more details about Software Licensing and tracking Compliance.
