  • 1.  Package Service - No Shared Codebases

    Posted Sep 23, 2015 10:57 AM

I was checking my Site Server settings for my Task Server when I noticed this message under the Package Service:

    No_Codebases.jpg

First thing I checked were my Global Package Server Settings, but I couldn't see anything wrong there:

Next I went to the Web Server following a forum that referenced this document https://support.symantec.com/en_US/article.TECH222772.html but I've already installed all necessary services so I'm not sure where to go from here. Any help would be appreciated.

First, logon to remote Package Server and check "PS" tab in SMA to see what statuses have packages.

Assume that this PS hasn't yet received own settings policy, therefore it didn't publish packages codebases to NS - (Try to manually refresh policy on remote Package Server)

    Thanks,

Anything showing in the logs? Also, how do you have your Sites and Sunets configured in Site Server Settings under Settings>Notification Server? Is the package server (or site server) part of a specific site in there? Could be related to bad snapshots (snapshot.xml files) on the Site Server and they aren't synched with the SMP.

Our organization is small, a little less than 300 computers, so the Package and Task servers are both part of the SMP server. I tried a refresh, but that didn't seem to change anything. It also shows the codebases in the agent which seems strange to me.

Actually, I'm not sure if the Refresh All Packages caused this, but I'm no longer getting that message in my Package Service settings so I guess I'm all set! Thanks for the responses!
