Yes they can

Sajji,

Yes all three can be packaged with wise, but explaining it in a mail will take for ever.
It is not easy to explain.
The best i can advice to you is get some training.
Newbey's on Wise are alway's adviced to get some training, because that is the best way to learn.

Yes,

Something to consider between packaging and repackaging. Office 2003 can be package with MST create from Office resource Kit Ork.exe (free from Microsoft). Sun JRE can be package with just switches from Sun website. SAP application can be package with their silent install command line, as for customize setting within SAP, you can use Wise setup capture with ease.

All of these applications can be package without using Wise and can be repackage with Wise.

Like Erik mentioned, taking Wise training would help to make this process much easier.

1) Sun JRE : This a MSI;

1) Sun JRE : This a MSI; when you run jre1.xx.xx.exe you will find Msi in " %userprofile%\Application Data\Sun\Java" folder, you can directly copy msi with cab file and create a Transform(MST) file using Wise package studio to include your company standerds.

2) Office 2003 : This also a MSI; It is recomended to use ORK(Office Resource Kit 2003) to customize the application by creating Transform(MST)file to the msi to include your company standerds.

3) SAP : for this package you can go for setup capture and customize the application OR there are some command line switches that you can use to install this application in silent mode(if this is your main intension for packaging this application).

Thanks,
Sid

Sun JRE & Office 2003

1. Office 2003, only use ORK. For a newbie like you that will be so much easier than Wise, besides that it's NOT best practices to use Wise for Office....any Office. Use the Installation Wizard in ORK.
Download the Office Resource Kit here:(somewhere in the middle of the page).

2. Sun JRE, the latest version 1.6.0.11, is indeed an msi, but this is a bit of a pain.
This link will explain and give you several solutions.

3. SAP has been...like 6 years ago that I packaged that last, so can't help you there and I am sure they changed their installation method by now.

4. Wise training. Well, one needs to know the basics of Wise to start. Then the best way of learning is just by doing it, running into problems, troubleshooting, finding solutions and have a Sr.Packager always review your work and explain what you missed. I hope your company can provide you with such.

Good Luck.

SAP

I wouldn't recommend a beginner packager attempting to package this application. Although if you're repackaging the SAP GUI, I would recommend for you to use the NwSAPSetupAdmin.exe tool provided by SAP.

As for Office2K3 or any version of Office (2K onwards), you would only use the resource kit provided for that particular version with the exception of Office 2K7 which now has the Office Customization Tool built into the setup.exe.
